Over ten years ago, the first BACnet project was installed at The Ohio State University by Building Control Integrators (BCI). Since then, BACnet has become the adopted control's standard for the university. The original project included three main BACnet panels, manufactured by Delta Controls, with only 128 total inputs and outputs. Today, there are approximately 150,000 physical points throughout 65 facilities. The OSU BACnet network is currently comprised of 19 different vendors with connectivity to multiple system types. The Ohio State University employs the BACnet protocol to its fullest extent and benefits greatly from the standardization of systems. Moreover, the university continues to profit from the bidding process as several contractors/manufacturers are readily available with BACnet product.

The OSU Ohio Union Delta Controls Building Automation System includes control and monitoring of 17 AHU's, 294 VAV's, HW / CHW central plants and critical systems. The project includes BACnet integrations into chillers, fire alram monitoring systems and Johnson Controls front-end.

The Ohio State University Thompson Library project includes control and monitoring of 19 AHU's, 300 VAV's, atrium smoke evacuations, stairwell pressurization and fireman's override panels, Wireless temperature sensors were used throughout the facility in order to comply with architectural considerations. integration of the central plant is done through the Honeywell HC900 and GE Fanuc control systems.

The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital project includes a state of the art medical complex with over 12 buildings and 4 million square feet. BCI has installed Delta Controls in many of the facilities including integration into the existing campus wide BACnet network from multiple manufacturers.

BCI has partnered with Michigan State University on the Facility for Rate Isotope Building (FRIB). This Design Assist project includes Delta Controls Build Automation System (BAS). The facility includes specialized systems for Cryo Plant Systems, Process Water Systems-- Low Conductivity, Acivated Water, Process Cooling, Process Heating, Steam LINAC Tunnel, and Target Building Applications. BCI has also completed the installation for the High Bay project including new installation of Delta Controls BAS integrating 3 Cooling Towers, CWS, HWS, Condensate Return Monitoring, Air Curtain Systems, Exhaust Air System, Power Monitoring, Steam Meter Monitoring, and Scrubber Exhaust System.
